Senior Front End Engineer

Kablamo is a fast-growing cloud digital product development company. Founded in 2017 in Australia, the business has grown quickly over the last several years, including the expansion of the team to Canada in 2021. We’re looking to further accelerate our growth in both markets, and we’re seeking a Sr. Front End Engineer to deliver new products to market.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work cross functionally with QA, DevOps, BE, Product and Delivery teams to understand project requirements and translate them into engaging and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Translate design wireframes and mockups into efficient and reusable React components
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs and services.
• Optimize and improve application performance, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix defects and compatibility issues.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior-mid level engineers
• Maintain detailed documentation of code and processes, ensuring alignment with company and industry standards.
• Actively participate in showcases, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies.
• Help drive continuous improvement in Kablamo’s process and culture while demonstrating and advocating our values.
• Participate in technical interviews and hiring

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience building responsive and scalable apps with JavaScript/Typescript
• Production experience with React
  Mobile app development with React Native
• Experience with technologies like React Hooks, Suspense, Webpack, Web Assembly, Workers, Jest, GraphQL etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize code for performance and scalability
• Strong eye for design and a meticulous approach to creating good user experiences
• Experience building and auditing web products with accessibility in mind
• Experience with testing platforms, unit testing, and end to end testing
• Agile practices including: Code versioning, CI/CD, Automated quality practices
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Experience with Git including merging, rebasing and pull-request branch strategy
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate within a cross-functional team
