25 Early-Stage Aerospace Startups Hiring Now

Many of the 25 startups below raised seed or pre-seed rounds this year and are hiring their first engineers, operators and business leads.

By OutGeek Women in Tech

While hiring has slowed across much of tech, early-stage space companies are still building teams. Many of the 25 startups below raised seed or pre-seed rounds this year and are hiring their first engineers, operators and business leads.

The range is pretty wide. Some build rockets and thrusters. Others run AI on satellites, return factories from orbit, or track debris from the ground. You don't need a rocket science degree for every role: we found openings in software, operations, business development, marketing and grants writing alongside the hardware jobs. Early-stage teams are small, so the people who join now shape how the company works. If you've been curious about space, this is a good moment to look.

How to use this list. Companies are grouped by what they build. Each name links to its careers page. Where we couldn't find one, the link goes to the company's LinkedIn jobs tab. Locations are headquarters; some roles sit in other offices, and a few teams have no open roles posted right now, so it's worth following them for the next opening.

Launch & propulsion

These teams get spacecraft off the ground and move them once they're up.

  • Pluto Aerospace Inc. – rocket developer (West Lafayette) – careers
  • BAAS Technologies – rocket propulsion systems (Nashik) – careers
  • ISPTech – satellite propulsion (Lampoldshausen, Germany) – careers
  • PAVE Space – orbital transfer vehicles (Crissier, Switzerland) – careers

Satellites, compute & connectivity

These teams make satellites smarter and connect them to each other and to Earth.

  • Galaxia – AI-powered satellites (Halifax) – careers
  • Satlyt – satellite AI compute (San Francisco) – careers
  • Constellation Space (YC26) – satellite operations AI (Seattle) – careers
  • Endeavor Optical Networks Inc. – orbital optical network (Culver City) – careers
  • Sanyark Space – navigation satellite constellation (Hyderabad) – careers

In-orbit servicing & infrastructure

These teams keep satellites running longer and build the infrastructure around them.

  • Aule Space – satellite life extension (Bengaluru) – careers
  • Blackswan Space – proximity operations payloads (Vilnius) – careers
  • ThinkOrbital – in-orbit construction (Denver) – careers
  • CisLunar Industries – spacecraft power systems (Denver) – careers
  • ORiS - Space – laser wireless power (Turin) – careers

In-space manufacturing & return

These teams make things in orbit that are hard to make on Earth, then bring them home.

  • Helogen Corporation – orbital biomanufacturing (New York) – careers
  • BESXAR – orbital chip materials (Inglewood) – careers
  • Outlier Space – orbital return capsules (Auckland) – careers
  • Reditus Space – reusable microgravity spacecraft (Atlanta) – careers
  • catalyx space – orbital round trips (Bengaluru) – careers

Space awareness, sensing & defense

These teams watch what's in orbit, image the Earth in new ways, and protect assets in space.

  • Spaceflux – space intelligence (London) – careers
  • Star Signal Solutions Inc. – space situational awareness (Tokyo) – careers
  • Foundational – satellite laser ranging (London) – careers
  • Diffraqtion – quantum space cameras (Somerville) – careers
  • BlazerOps – hyperspectral data platform (Auckland) – careers
  • Wardstone – space-based interceptors (San Francisco) – careers

Before you apply

  • Check where the role sits. Some open roles are in a different city from the headquarters listed here. Helogen's current openings are in Austin, catalyx space hires in Ahmedabad, and ThinkOrbital's roles are in Boulder.
  • Read the eligibility line. Many US defense and space roles require US citizenship or a valid US work visa.
  • Follow the quiet ones. Blackswan Space, Spaceflux and PAVE Space had no open roles posted when we checked. Small teams often hire through their network first, so following them on LinkedIn can put you early in line.
  • Reach out directly. At a 10-person company, a short, specific note to a founder can matter as much as the application.
