Women made up 31.9% of new hires at Korean science and technology institutions in 2024, up from 28.1% in 2020, according to the Ministry of Science and ICT and WISET.
Women are 23.7% of employees at those institutions, up for a fifth year in a row, and hold 13.1% of managerial posts.
