About 135,000 women worked in Israeli high-tech in 2025, 33.9% of the workforce, a share that has barely changed in a decade. In R&D roles, women are 28.4% of employees.
The Authority’s 2026 report puts the gender pay gap in Israeli high-tech at 20% to 30%. In R&D, men earn about 44% more than women.
